The L-com FOT-RMSP-AMU is a reusable mechanical fiber optic splice that is cost effective and easy to install. The FOT-RMSP-AMU is for 125um clad fiber cable and will accept buffer sizes from 250um to 900um. It is compatible with multimode and single mode applications. The FOT-RMSP-AMU's glass capillary contains index matching gel and allows for inspection of the fibers location during installation. The fibers are secured in the FOT-RMSP-AMU by twisting locking nuts, allowing the installer to adjust the fiber for optimal alignment and retention.
